Project Portfolio
Our projects turn community priorities into practical action. Working in South Sudan and Uganda, we collaborate with communities, civil society organisations and development partners to strengthen local capacity, expand opportunity, improve relationships between communities and support more peaceful, resilient futures.
Since 2017, CDC has carried out 24 projects and initiatives with communities and partners, from peacebuilding and food security to digital skills, health and cultural heritage. Each began with listening, and each shows what happens when communities lead.

Project Results and Learning
We document our work and communicate results responsibly. Project reports, community stories, monitoring data and lessons learned show what has been achieved, where we can improve and what can inform future work. Visit the Our Impact page for verified organisational results and the News page for the latest updates.
Voices from the Community
Behind every project are people whose experiences bring our work to life.
“Before joining the programme, I had limited skills and few opportunities to earn an income. Through the training, I gained practical skills and more confidence in my ability to build a better future for myself and my family.”
Daniel Ladu, youth participant, Empower 360 Youth Thrive
“The training helped me understand that conflicts can be addressed through dialogue, listening and mutual respect. I have learned the importance of bringing people together to find peaceful solutions instead of allowing disagreements to divide us.”
Mary Konga, community peace mediator
“Hagiga Wahid reminds us not to believe or spread every message we hear. Verifying information before sharing it can help prevent fear, misunderstandings and conflict within our communities.”
Isaac Lemi, Community Ambassador, Hagiga Wahid
“Our communities may face different challenges, but we share many of the same hopes for peace, safety and a better future. Working together helps us learn from one another and find solutions that benefit everyone.”
Peter Sakaya, SPEED project participant
