Our Impact
We believe meaningful impact begins when communities have the opportunity, knowledge, resources and support to shape their own futures. We back locally driven initiatives that strengthen peace, expand opportunity, improve livelihoods, promote inclusion and build resilience.

Since 2014, Community Development Centre (CDC) has worked with communities across South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Behind every figure below is a community that set its own priorities and led the change. Our impact is also measured in the skills developed, relationships strengthened and local capacity that lasts beyond any single project.
The Change We Work Towards
Stronger, More Peaceful Communities
We support dialogue, community engagement, conflict prevention and social cohesion, helping people address shared challenges, rebuild trust and live together peacefully.
Young People with Greater Opportunities
Through leadership development, skills training, livelihood initiatives and community participation, we equip young people to contribute to their communities and build sustainable futures.
Improved Livelihoods and Resilience
We work with communities to strengthen agricultural practices, savings groups, entrepreneurship and food security, building household resilience.
More Inclusive Communities
We promote the participation of women, young people, displaced people, people with disabilities and other underrepresented groups in community development and decision-making.
Stronger Community Voices
Through communication, storytelling, community feedback and engagement, we create space for local voices and experiences to shape dialogue, learning and action.
Stronger Local Capacity and Partnerships
We collaborate with community structures, civil society organisations and development partners to strengthen local knowledge, encourage collective action and support community-led solutions.
Our Impact in Numbers
These results reflect the combined effort of communities, staff, volunteers and partners.

Our Commitment to Accountability
We monitor our work, learn from experience and report our results openly and responsibly. These figures are reported results across CDC’s interventions; reporting periods, programme coverage and measurement methods differ between projects.
How We Measure Impact
We track results, listen to communities and adapt. Our monitoring, evaluation and learning system combines project data, community feedback, independent reviews and action research, so that what we report is what communities experience. Communities take part in monitoring and learning, not only in activities.

Our Commitment to Lasting Change
For CDC, impact is not just completing activities. It is supporting communities to build the confidence, capacity, relationships and opportunities they need to shape their own futures. We remain committed to working alongside communities across the region to advance peace, inclusion, resilience and locally led development.
Be Part of What Comes Next
Help us reach more communities, and let communities lead.
